Job brief

We are looking for a reliable Financial Manager that will manage and analyze every day financial activities and subsequently provide advice and guidance to upper management on future financial plans.

The goal is to enable the company’s leaders to make sound business decisions and meet the company’s objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for preparation of Financial statements for all group entities as per applicable accounting standards.
  • Supervise and lead the preparation of monthly financial reporting 
  • Assist the company leadership in various projects as required.
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
  • Direct the maintenance of ledgers, journals, accounts receivable, revenue depreciation, cost, property, operating expenses, insurance etc.
  • Oversee bank work regarding documents, inward/outward remittances etc.
  • Direct and participate in cost analysis and rate studies. This includes scrutiny of inventory costs, charges from banks/agencies/service providers, cash vouchers, supplier bills, utility bills (Phone/electricity etc.) etc.
  • Negotiate contract/service/loan/credit terms with outside financial agencies such as banks, financial/trade institutions, ECGC, insurance companies etc.
  • Direct internal audits involving review of accounting and administrative controls. Coordinate preparation for external audits and external financial reporting.
  • Direct the preparation and filing of returns for sales tax, Income tax, Excise and other forms of taxes and charges.
  • Direct and monitor issuance of different forms to suppliers/employees such as Form-16 etc.
  • Review any contracts before they are signed.
  • Personally coach, train and mentor direct subordinates and provided career development opportunities through training and quality management activities.

 

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Financial Manager
  • Experience in previous similar roles, for mid-sized MNC, Technology firms
  • Financial reporting (India and US GAAP)
  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics
  • Professional qualification such as CFA/CPA or similar will be considered a plus
  • Extensive understanding of financial trends both within the company and general market patterns
  • Proficient user of finance software
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • Able to manage, guide leadership to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used
  • A solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles
  • Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations.
