The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic hit the world rapidly, making us realize that there is no “magic bullet” or “secret sauce” to health. None of us were prepared; even the most advanced countries in the world immediately scrambled to find treatments for the disease, in an effort to allow the world’s economy to sustain its momentum and help the population return to normalcy. This, however, forced governments to impose strict travel restrictions and monitor the movement of people.
The lives of people from different walks of life changed in an instant. A mental health crisis spread across the world as offices and businesses were shut down, resulting to millions of people losing their livelihoods.
The organizations that survived, in turn, were forced to adapt to the situation, shifting to work-from-home setups in order to combat the pandemic. And because this change was generally seen as a silver lining in such a dire situation, employees embraced this change almost instantly.
