Accounting Team Leader

Job Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of accountants to ensure accurate and timely deliverables
Manage general ledger activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and adjustments
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, policies, and internal controls
Lead month-end and year-end closing processes
Review and approve financial statements and supporting schedules
Prepare and support management reports and financial dashboards
Drive process improvements, system enhancements, and automation initiatives
Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external parties (auditors, clients)
Act as escalation point for accounting and reporting issues
Support audit preparation and handle ad hoc accounting tasks

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
3–5 years of BPO accounting experience, including at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role
Strong knowledge of general accounting, financial reporting, and closing processes
Proficient in ERP/accounting systems (SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, or equivalent)
Strong MS Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis)
Knowledge of local and international accounting standards (GAAP, IFRS)
Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Detail-oriented, analytical, and able to work under pressure
